There are many advanced treatment options available for doctors to prescribe for their patients, but they often require the removal of the immobilization device, or adopting the traditional immobilization methods to use them, which is difficult, time-consuming, and can be expensive, requiring special saws and materials.

  • Ultrasound and electrical bone stimulators are being used by physicians to reduce fracture healing time and improve outcomes for those with difficulty healing due to non-union or other health factors.

  • Electrical muscle stimulation (EMS), also known as neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) or electromyostimulation, uses electrical impulses to nerves to reduce muscle atrophy and rehabilitation time after being immobilized.

  • Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is a therapy that uses low-voltage electrical current for pain relief and can reduce the need for pain medication.

  • Biomonitors can collect quantitative data about the patient and healing process for real-time feedback to physicians.

These technologies can improve patient healing times dramatically, and reduce rehab/therapy requirements after healing, which is especially beneficial to athletes and others with active jobs and lifestyles.

My brace has given me the freedom to do things I couldn’t do with a standard cast while giving me the support I need to protect my wrist fracture. I love it and would recommend it to anyone with any problem requiring extra support!
