Dr. Randy F.R. Lovell III is an athlete and hand surgeon at Lovell Hand and Orthopedic Center. He enjoys hockey (pictured above), golf, and working out. He has been a co-chairman of 6AM Hockey since 2005, which shows his committal to an active lifestyle. He currently serves as the Hand Division Chief of Spectrum Health Hospital while maintaining his own clinic.

Dr. Lovell graduated from the University of Michigan Honors College with High Honors in 1992. Thereafter, he graduated from Northwestern University Medical School with a Doctor of Medicine in 1997 and spent his residency at Grand Rapids Orthopedic from 1997-2002. He then completed a Hand, Upper Extremity and Microvascular Surgery Fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine.
He also enjoys entrepreneurship, carpentry, reading, and youth coaching.
